ティムホートンズ

"Tim Hortons" transcribed into Japanese using Katakana. Katakana is a Japanese syllabary, which is used for transcription of foreign language words into Japanese and the writing of loan words.

ORIGINAL

The original logo is based on the founder's signature. There are a few different versions of the logo over years, but it always carries the handwritten script font, Tim Hortons, usually in red, but sometimes reversed in white on a red background.

ADAPTATION

The adapted logo is written in the form of Japanese calligraphy in order to correspond with the handwritten script feature of the original logo. Each character is tilted and resized to match the original angle and proportion.
